Dear Parents, It is the last week of the 2021 marching band season. I am so proud of the growth we have had this year. Our event is here! Thank you all in advance for stepping up to volunteer for our annual I-19 Showdown. You should have received an email from sign-up genius as a reminder that you work a set time of a shift. Dear Parents, Great Effort by our students on Saturday at the U of A, we placed 4th out of 17 schools. I am very pleased with our progress. Dear Parents, Game Day Friday, students should wear the blue band shirt to school all day. Students should have marching shoes and black socks for the game! The carwash was a huge success after two deposits we made a profit of $1300, these funds will be used to purchase the vinyl covers for the field props in the show. Marching Band Council Fundraiser

Dear Parents, I apologize for the short notice. Our band council (student club) has struggled to get moving this school year but I think we are finally going to see forward progress. The band council has been working for more than two weeks to get a location for a club sponsored car wash to raise money for our field props. Our props this year cost between $3500-$4000, this is a huge investment for the show. Today the band council printed and passed out car wash tickets for this Saturday, August 28th. Dear Parents, Thank you, thank you, thank you. Every student has their band warm-up book. We use the book all four years and regularly during class time. Students also have their three ring black binder, this is great! Students need to continue to develop regular practice habits. Please have your child designate a set time everyday to practice for 20-30 minutes on scales and music. Many of our students have instruments that are in need of being serviced by a music store.
