Good Morning Everyone,

I hope everyone is having a FANTASTIC summer! Before vacation mode completely sets in for everyone, I just wanted to send out a quick email to let everyone know the results of our jazz band auditions. (For my graduating seniors and their families, don't worry…I'll be building my new email list over the next couple of weeks and so I promise I won't spam your email all through the year next year!)
This year we had more students than EVER audition for jazz band, and the level of preparation across the board was incredibly high. This made it very challenging for me to make decisions for the group, and I'm incredibly proud of everyone who auditioned, regardless of whether or not they earned a spot this year. I'm honestly humbled by the care so many of you put into these auditions. Congratulations to you all.
Note: These results are listed alphabetically, and are note indicative of any placement or part assignment. Those decisions will be made at the start of the fall semester.

Lastly, if you're looking for something to do this Thursday night, I want to take a moment to invite everyone to come to see the Tucson Repertory Orchestra perform at Crowder Hall in the School of Music at the University of Arizona! The concert is Thursday, June 6 at 7:30P. We'll be performing the Grieg Piano Concerto (Dr. Fanya Lin, piano…she's phenomenal!) and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5. It's a free concert and it's going to be a lot of fun! I hope to see you there.
