Good Evening Everyone,A couple of very quick updates: Please don't forget that band students and percussion students who are performing at State Festival with Symphonic Band have dress rehearsals tomorrow and Thursday from 4:00-6:00P. State Festival is on Friday. Our performance is at Mountain View HS in MESA...not Mountain View in Marana. I've attached a complete itinerary to this email. Despite the unexpected curveballs that have been thrown our way, I do have exciting announcements to share with you all, in addition to some important updates and reminders for this week.1) Congratulations to the Sahuarita String Orchestra on a great performance at ABODA Area Festival on Thursday, and to their EXCELLENT rating for their performance. Good Evening Everyone, Here are important announcements for this week. Tuesday: Dress Rehearsal for Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Percussion performing with those groups from 4:00-6:00. Thursday Morning: Orchestra Area Festival will take place at Catalina Foothills Thursday morning. This is an important change that became necessary to accommodate schedule conflicts for students. Orchestra students should arrive at the SHS Band Room by 6:50A. The bus will depart promptly at 7:00A, and we will return to SHS around noon. Dress is concert black. Please remember that concert black includes dress shoes (closed-toe), tops with sleeves (nothing sleeveless) and tights, leggings, or hose [...]

Hi again Everyone,I meant to include call time information for Jazz Band for tomorrow's show and got ahead of myself.Students should arrive to the Green Valley CPAC (off Continental Rd.) by 5:00. Dress for tomorrow is all black with our blue ties, which I will bring down to the CPAC for everyone. Happy Super Bowl Everyone!I have a few quick announcements for everyone for this week. I'll keep it pretty brief, but please make sure to look everything over.1) Tomorrow night is our Jazz Band Fundraiser Concert at the Green Valley CPAC! The concert is at 7:00 and will feature special guests from the Green Valley Stage Band. We'd love to have as many people as possible there for this concert, and you can still purchase tickets online at the Green Valley CPAC website. Parents and Students,I'll be gone the remainder of the week for All-State Jazz and our AMEA Conference, but I will be largely available by email. I wanted to take a quick moment before I left to send out a huge congratulations to our awesome band and orchestra students who earned placements in the AMEA South-Central Regional Honor Festival for this year. We had 27 students audition this year. I'm incredibly proud of all the students who put in time and effort to practice and prepare for their auditions and tried out on Saturday.
