Dear Parents,

I hope you all made it to the game last Friday, it was a great night for Sahuarita Mustangs! Our students performed their show for the first time in uniform, we shared the pre game with Palo Verde Band, and we had our 8th grade students from SMS, WRS, and GEA for the evening. Thank you to everyone who helped serve our students dinner, got them dressed into the uniform, and just supported our program. Without the support you gave us our evening would have never been so organized and free from stress.

Curriculum:
Students had their first objective sheet due on Friday, the grades are in the grade book, if your child received less than 24 they will need to come in during MPH Monday and Tuesday to make up points. Students will have their part II playing test on Tuesday this week.

Week at a Glance:
Monday – rehearsal 5:45-8:45 – this includes an extra 30 minutes from now till the end of the season for Monday evenings.
Tuesday – sahuaro building continues
Wednesday – guard rehearsal 2:45-5:30
Thursday – sahuaro building continues, percussion rehearsal 3:30-6pm
Friday – rehearsal 4:30 – 9pm, we will have music from 4:30-6, we have a video shoot for our next fundraiser at 6, then on field rehearsal 7-9pm

Schedule Changes:
Sept. 20th is now an away game and we have decided to take advantage of some research for our marching band show. We will be traveling to Tombstone to visit many of the iconic parts of the Old West. Please watch for a colored itenary to come home this Thursday about our field trip. Students will need meal money for this event we will need a couple of chaperones!
October 12th Marching band show has been cancelled due to lack of enrollment. We need to find another event to meet the requirements of qualifying for State Festival. I have found that we can attend Higley Invitational on Tuesday, October 22. Please make sure your child will be available that day, we will leave school sometime in the afternoon and return late, maybe 10pm. I will give you more information as it gets closer to the event.

Parent Help needed:
Please sign up on the Sign Up Genius for our Show Hosting on October 5th, every parent is needed for at least one shift.
This Friday, Sept. 13 I need 3-4 parents to help students get into uniform for our video shoot, please email me if you can help from 5:50-6:50pm
