Welcome to the 2019-2020 parent email communication. My goal is to send weekly emails during the marching band season to help keep you informed of our schedule, curriculum, and parent help needed. Week at a Glance
Monday – rehearsal 5:45-8:15 on the field, students may stay after if they need to
Tuesday – NA – good practice day for students
Wednesday – NA – good practice day for students
Thursday – percussion practice with Mr. Cervenka 3:30-6:00pm
Friday – uniform fitting for students whom missed July 20th 3:30-4:15, FULL rehearsal (everyone) 4:30-8:30pm
save the date – Sahuarita High School OPEN HOUSE – Tuesday, August 27 5:30-7pm AND Music Parent meeting begins at 6:30pm in the band room E 105
Curriculum –
Students will have a playing test Monday for the opener of the show. They should be able to play the music at tempo, with correct notes, rhythms, dynamics and style. Please ask your child to play for you and assist your child as needed.
Parent Help needed:
Please visit our sign up genius and sign up to assist with our upcoming season. We have a student lead car wash coming up August 24th at the new Starbucks on Duval. Each child is asked to sell 4 tickets valued at $5 each. Please help your child make our goal, this fundraiser will raise money to purchase the supplies for our field show props/paint ($600) and wheels($430). We need your help!
Financial Business:
If you have not paid for the following please do so ASAP.
Camp enrichment and meals = $25 and tailgate meals for school events $20 all to the SHS Music Boosters, send a check or pay by card on August 27
Marching shoes = $35, gloves = $5, blue shirt $12, SHS Camp fee $40 all to SUSD #30, pay in the front office
