Dear Parents,
March is here and we are focusing on our travel to San Antonio. The students have received and should be working diligently on the following two pieces of music; Havendance and Florintiner March. These two pieces are on the harder side of grade level difficulty, students should be listening to the pieces on the website and working on their parts individually.
Info at a Glance:
March 5th – Jazz Festival at U of A in Tucson (19 students only, red paper)
March 9th – All-State Auditions in Phoenix (5 students only)
March 18th – Required parent meeting for travel to San Antonio 6pm (1 hour) bring hearth insurance info
rehearsal for full band 3:30 – 5pm (ending early for in door to have transit time)
March 25th – rehearsal for full band 5:30-7:30pm with guest conductor Dr. Pat Hoy (regional)
April 1st – rehearsal 3:30-5:15pm
April 3rd – depart for Texas PM
MPH this month will focus around the specific music of Havendance and Florintiner March. Students will have spot checks on the music and scales of these tunes.
