Week at a Glance
Monday – I will be off campus for a training during the day, Rehearsal 5:45-8:15, Booster Board meeting at 5:45 – turn in travel document with a yes or no for San Antonio
Tuesday – NA
Wednesday – percussion and flag will practice with Max and Mr. Cervenka 2:45-5:20
Thursday – flags 3:30-5:20
Friday – No evening rehearsal (Labor Day Weekend)
Monday, Sept. 3rd NO School
Tuesday, Sept. 4th Night Rehearsal 5:45-8:45
Curriculum –
Students received objective sheet this past week with about 10 tasks to complete by Friday, September 7. Please ask your child to play for you and assist your child as needed. Students will be given time during MPH to come in and complete objectives as well as some class time. Checking off an objective at school can take as little as 30 seconds to play through but preparing the music to performance level requires practicing at home. Students are encouraged to come in and test their Fight Song and Part I to the show for a higher grade.
Please make sure your child has a flip folder and lyre for their band instrument, percussion need a black binder, students need their supplies to have an equal chance for success. Guard please pay for your shoes $35 and a down payment for your uniform $40 to the front office, we can not order shoes or buy uniforms without your payment.
Parent Help needed:
Any parent who is willing and able to drive to the Phoenix area (Tempe) to pick up our new Vibraphone, this would be in your person pick up truck and at your convenience in the next week or so. Please let me know if you are available.
