Our jazz band is getting ready for our concert on Thursday, April 29th, at 6pm in the auditorium. This concert is shared with the concert band and should last about 45-60 minutes, we WILL have an audience and we look forward to you joining us for the event. Each student will be allowed to invite four guests for the audience and we will live stream the event for those that can not make it.
The jazz band will be featured this year at the SHS 2021 Senior Graduation, Wednesday, May 19th at the football field. I will send more info as the date gets closer for exact times of our commitment. We will have two rehearsals at the portable stage, click here to see. This stage is safe, sturdy and easy to set up to prepare for this event since we will add music from the first semester. Students will need to be at rehearsal Thursday, May 6 and 13 3:45-5:15, this is an earlier end time.
Auditions for Jazz Band next year will be May 3rd after school. I hope to see your child continue with their jazz studies.
Last topic, students are getting later and later each day for our report time of Jazz band. Please make sure your child is here in the room by 7:30am bell. I have several students showing up 1-2 days a week late, this will result in a write up if they have not received one already. Please help them successfully show up for our early mornings.
