Parents and Students,

In this email is some very important information to get us through the next few days. This is far and away the busiest time of the year, so it is VERY important to read any communications that come out. I'm stretched super thin timewise so I don't get to send them out as often as I would like, so bear with them if they're a little long, and again, please read them thoroughly. Jazz Band: it is very important you read all of this email!

1. Thursday is our SHS Track Feeder Day in the auditorium. Students need to be at SHS no later than 8:30, and we will walk over to the auditorium together. Please wear SHS gear. This is for all students in 2nd and 3rd period band classes, as well as 1st period students who are assigned parts for the pieces An American Elegy, and (not) Alone. Students will return to SHS at the end of the day in time to catch buses if necessary. Call time to be back at the auditorium is 5:30 in concert black. The concert begins at 6:00 and should be pretty short.
2. Our Jazz Band fundraising concert at the Green Valley CPAC is Monday, February 12 at 7:00P. I am confirming some logistical details with the CPAC this afternoon, and will send out specifics about call times, etc. tomorrow once I've had a chance to have that conversation. This is a HUGE event for us, and we should continue to push our ticket sales for the concert. We'd love to have everyone come out and support us. Please share this info with your friends, family, colleagues, etc….especially to people that aren't in our usual circle of donors. The more publicity and push we get the better. We will be joined by special guests from the Green Valley Stage Band on a few charts. There will also be a silent auction held. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased through the CPAC website, which is linked here:

3. Jazz Band Trip Chaperones: I have an urgent action matter for you. If you are chaperoning the trip, please complete the trip registration for yourself (students have already completed the registration, and you may have received a confirmation email about that…that is NOT the same as registering for yourself). The registration process is very easy and only takes a couple of minutes to complete. To register go to: worldstrides.com/register

Everything after that is very simple. Please complete this registration by 3:00 tomorrow. I need to get everyone in quickly to lock in final pricing. Again, this is only for jazz band parents that are chaperoning the trip (and it only takes a couple minutes!).
