Dear Parents,

Class Fee collection continues, $50 for each performing ensemble class for the year. Sweatshirts should be arriving this week, if you have not paid for yours please pay ASAP $33. You can pay sweatshirts and class fees in one payment to the front office.
If your child would like to audition for regionals the deadline has been extended to December 11 please pay in the band room $25.  The audition will be virtual this year and I will provide onsite opportunities for your child to record at SHS the week of January 19-22. This is not required but an option for students during 3rd quarter.

Sight Reading Factory is a part of our curriculum this year, please make sure your child is completing this assignment on Wednesday’s, it also counts for their attendance. As we get closer to the concert it is very important your child is playing their instrument every day of the week and for some students that struggle, they should also practice some on the weekend.

Each student has been issued ONE school approved PPE set up for their instrument. They are responsible for cleaning and not losing the PPE. If they lose the PPE you will need to purchase more on your own. Please ask your child to play for you, they should also be practicing with their school issued PPE on the instrument and on their face. It will take practice to maintain good sound with the music mask on their face, this should not just be the practice at school but also some at home.
