Hey team,

A few important updates as we progress into the last few weeks into the semester:

Rehearsals this week
Despite SHS switching to full remote learning, we are still going to have rehearsals, albeit a little different than we’re used to.
We are back in Phase 1 for the time being, so we are staggering start/end times to keep our cohorts small and spread out. Each group will report to their location (not the band room). It is important that you have your sticks/mallets with you as nobody will be allowed in the band room.

We will be outside the duration of the rehearsal, so please dress accordingly (no jeans in battery). The bathrooms will be for emergencies only. And as always, bring your water bottle and wear a mask the whole time.

Each section will report to the specified location below. Snares/Tenors/Bass will need to pick up their drums in front of the band room first.

Snares/Tenors/Basses: Tennis Courts

Mallets: In front of Gym

Rhythm Section (synth, rack, drumset) & Cymbals: Behind Choir Room

Front Ensemble @ 5:30-7:30
Snares/Tenors/Basses/Cymbals @ 5:45-7:45

Fees
Everyone should have their fees showing up in the front office. The $50 PTP is due ASAP. The $100 Uniform/Apparel fee is not due until the start of the next semester.

Winter Camp
Camp is scheduled December 30-January 2. The times are correct on the website (sahuaritamusic.org/indoor), however they are subject to change depending on district and county guidelines. Please make sure you’re communicating any planned absences ASAP so we can prepare.

Tax Credits
Please encourage your friends and family to contribute their tax credits to Sahuarita Indoor Percussion. Without being able to hold traditional fundraisers, we are struggling financially. I am trying my hardest to keep membership fees as low as possible, but we cannot be successful without contributions from the community. As always, please make sure you designate SHS > Fine Arts Programs > Indoor Percussion and send Mrs. Garcia and myself a receipt. You can do this online (link below), or print out a form and turn it into the front office. Feel free to share this information with anyone you know! If they live in AZ, they can contribute and get up to $400 (joint) back on their upcoming tax return!

SUSD #30 Tax Credit Donations

Thank you all for being so adaptable and supportive. We are going to have a great season, and I’m extremely excited about this year’s ensemble and production.
