First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!

Yesterday was a LONG day and I appreciate everyone’s hard work from start to finish. This season, we started out as Regional A and were promoted to A-Local in the WGAZ circuit after our first show. Then yesterday at WGI we were the only group to make finals from WGAZ A-Local division (all other groups in finals were A-National groups)! This group continues to exceed my expectations and our progress has been amazing. Yesterday making finals was a win for us. Since all the groups that scored higher than us are in a different WGAZ competing class, we will not be scored against them the rest of the season. We now have to focus our attention at improving our own score to solidify a strong placement in our own class.

Thank you so much to all the parents who helped us. You guys were such troopers and really the biggest reason why we were so successful!

Percussion Focus Show 3/14
At Percussion Focus, we will be recognized by being promoted to a higher competing division, Percussion Scholastic A-Local. This is the largest competing division with 17 schools. At the start of the awards ceremony, they will bring our entire ensemble to the floor and recognize them in front of everyone. This is a BIG deal, and parents are encouraged to attend.

All-State Auditions
We have several students that are auditioning for All-State on Saturday. These students will ride to Gilbert HS with Mrs. Garcia in the morning for their auditions. At 1:30, after all of the indoor percussion students have finished their auditions, we will pick them up at Gilbert HS and take them with us on the bus to Desert Ridge HS. If your child is not participating in All-State auditions, they will follow the attached itinerary as normal.

Winter Arts Showcase
I have also attached the flyer for the Sahuarita HS track Winter Arts Showcase. Please start spreading the word to your family and friends. It is the state send-off show for Sahuarita Indoor Percussion, Sahuarita Indoor Percussion Cadets, and Sahuarita Winter Guard. This is our opportunity to really give the kids a huge crowd to get them hyped for State Championships!

Spring Break
Please refer to the calendar on the website and the handbook for Spring break Champ Camp! It is our last opportunity to put the final touches on our show. We will only rehearse Thursday & Friday that week from 8a-9p. The itinerary for Campo Verde on 3/21 will be sent out after Percussion Focus.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your continued support as we pave the way for a great finish to the season! 4 weeks left!
